Course Objectives

You will enhance your presentation by using features that will transform it into a powerful means of communication. You will customize the PowerPoint interface to suit your requirements and use features to create dynamic and visually appealing presentations. You will then finalize a presentation and secure it to authenticate its validity.

Prerequisites

To ensure your success, we recommend that you first take one of Element K’s introductory courses, such as Microsoft® Office PowerPoint® 2010 : Level 1, or have equivalent knowledge and skills.

Target Student

This course is designed for professionals who will use Microsoft Office PowerPoint 2010 to prepare presentations and be more productive in their work.

Hardware Requirements

For this course, you will need one computer for each student and one for the instructor. Each computer will need the following minimum hardware configurations:
  • A 1 GHz Pentium®-class processor.
  • 1 GB of RAM is recommended.
  • At least 3.5 GB of free hard disk space available for the Office installation.
  • A CD-ROM drive.
  • A keyboard and mouse or other pointing device.
  • A 1024 x 768 resolution monitor.
  • Network cards and cabling for local network access.
  • Internet access (contact your local network administrator).
  • A printer (optional) or an installed printer driver.
  • A projection system to display the instructor’s computer screen.
  • A sound card with speakers.
  • A microphone (optional).
Software Requirements

Each computer requires the following software:
  • Microsoft® Office Professional Plus 2010
  • Adobe® Reader 8.0 or above
  • Microsoft® Windows® XP Professional with Service Pack 3
