Course Objectives
You will create, manage, revise, and distribute documents.
Prerequisites
Students should be able to use Microsoft® Office Word 2010 to create, edit, format, save, and print business documents that contain text, tables, and graphics. Students should also be able to use a web browser and an email program. In order to understand how Word interacts with other applications in the Microsoft Office System, students should have a basic understanding of how worksheets and presentations work. To ensure your success, you need to first take the following courses or have equivalent knowledge:
- Microsoft® Office Word 2010: Level 1
- Microsoft® Office Word 2010: Level 2
Target Student
This course is designed for persons who want to gain skills necessary to manage lengthy documents, collaborate with others, and secure documents.
Hardware Requirements
For this course, you will need one computer for each student and the instructor. Each computer should have the following hardware configuration:
- A 1 GHz Pentium-class processor or faster.
- A minimum of 256 MB of RAM. (512 MB of RAM is recommended.)
- A 10 GB hard disk or larger. You should have at least 1 GB of free hard disk space available for Office installation.
- A CD-ROM drive.
- A keyboard and mouse or other pointing device.
- A 1024 x 768 resolution monitor is recommended.
- Network cards and cabling for local network access.
- Internet access (contact your local network administrator).
- A printer (optional) or an installed printer driver.
- A projection system to display the instructor’s computer screen.
Software Requirements
Each computer requires the following software:
- Microsoft® Office Professional Edition 2010.
- Microsoft® Office Suite Service Pack 1.
- Microsoft® Windows® XP Professional with Service Pack 2.
- Windows Rights Management Services (RMS) Client.
Performance-Based Objectives
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
