Overview
Microsoft® Expression® Web 2007 has made it possible for you to create standard compliant websites that are aesthetically appealing. Microsoft® Expression® Web 2007 also makes it possible for you to design websites that are highly interactive and dynamic. In this course, you will create a fluid designed website and add dynamic features to make it engaging to the users.
Course Objectives
You will create an interactive and a dynamic website using Microsoft® Expression® Web 2007.
Prerequisites
Students should have taken the Microsoft® Expression® Web 2007: Level 1 course from or have equivalent knowledge. Recommended, though not required, is the Microsoft® Access 2007: Level 1 course. Also, knowledge of XML, database concepts, and ASP.NET would be helpful, but not required.
Target Student
This course is designed for students with fundamental competency in using Expression Web for designing web pages and adding content and simple functionalities into them, and those who need the skills to use Expression Web to design a website with enhanced functionality and usability.
Performance-Based Objectives
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- create the layout of a website.
- create and manage layers.
- design forms to submit and retrieve data from a database.
- use frames to link and display several pages of web content within a single browser window.
- work with XML to create and display data from an XML database.
- use Expression Web to collaborate on website development and design in a workgroup environment.
Hardware Requirements
For this course, you will need one computer for each student and one for the instructor. Each computer will need the following minimum hardware components

- 512 MB of RAM or higher
- Monitor with 1024 x 768 resolution
