Macromedia Training Overview
You know to create professional looking web pages. Now, you may need to create web applications that change dynamically. In this course, you will use Dreamweaver 8 to create and administer database-driven sites.
Target Student:
Students who want more in-depth understanding of techniques used to create dynamic web applications using Dreamweaver 8.
Prerequisites
Before taking this course, you should complete the following courses, or have equivalent knowledge:
- Macromedia Dreamweaver 8 Level 1
- Macromedia Dreamweaver 8 Level 2

Instructor led, group-paced, classroom-delivery learning model with structured hands-on activities
Objectives
You will establish server connectivity. You will also create and manage database records.
Hardware Requirements
- An Intel Pentium II (or equivalent 300+ MHz) processor.
- At least 96 MB of available RAM (128 MB recommended).
- At least 275 MB of available disk space for software installation and an additional 10 MB for the course data files.
- A 256-color monitor capable of 800 x 600 resolution (1024 x 768, millions of colors recommended).
- A CD-ROM drive.
Software Requirements
- The latest version of both Netscape Navigator and Microsoft Internet Explorer.
- Macromedia Dreamweaver 8.
- Microsoft Personal Web Server or Microsoft Internet Information Server. (NOTE: You can't install Personal Web Server on Windows Me.)
- Microsoft Access XP, 2003, or recent ODBC drivers for Access databases. The latest drivers can be obtained from Microsoft by visiting www.microsoft.com/data and downloading the MDAC (Microsoft Data Access Components) package.
Platform Requirements
- Windows XP Professional, Windows 2000, Windows 98, or Windows NT with Option Pack 4.
