Overview:
In this class, students learn to manage relationships between their co-workers and team members, their customers and their peers. Through exercises and workshops students examine basic problem solving, communication, team building and time management skills and practice ways to refine and improve these skills.
Audience:
This course is designed for those new to managerial or supervisory positions in the Information Systems environment.

Objectives:
Upon successful completion of this course, the student should be able to:
- Define their current strengths and weaknesses in interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Understand the differences in management and motivational styles.
- Understand different communication and problem solving styles.
- Define the characteristics of a successful team.
- Understand legal and ethical implications when dealing with fellow workers.
- Understand how to deal with “difficult” co-workers.
- Improve problem-solving skills and apply creativity to problem solution.
- Define the characteristics of a satisfied customer and implement procedures to achieve ongoing customer satisfaction.
