Introduction to IPhone Development
IPhone Training Overview:

iPhone App development is fun and exciting but it is also time consuming and some times frustrating because for most beginners to juggle a new language, Object-C, a new development environment, X-Code, and a new Framework, Cocoa-Touch. This class will give the attendees the knowledge to ship around most of the beginners traps and frustrations. This class's main goal is to prepare the attendees to create professional iPhone applications that can be released on Apples's App store and will focus on how to develop iPhone applications, debug and release them rather than on churning through as many APIs as possible. A very important part will be on how to find the help for problems like the XCode documentation, Apple presentations, Stackoverflow and many more. In contrast to other classes this class is using a single application as example illustrating how an application grows through it's life cycles as well as giving the app's user a good experience. Beside coding we will also tackle how to debug apps and how to figure out the cause of crashes which are quit common. Finally we look at some of the profiling tools to check on memory usages and leaks as well as performance.

IPhone Training Learning Objectives:

To learn to design and develop an iPhone Business Application for the Apple App Store.

IPhone Training Prerequisites:

This class is designed for people who already know how to program. If you currently use Visual Basic, Delphi, Cobol or Fortran and want to learn Object-C for the iPhone then this is the place to start. You must have a firm grasp of programming concepts such as: looping, branching, functions, passing arguments to functions and returning values from functions. While Object-C is based on the C programming language, no prior knowledge of C is assumed. Also, no prior knowledge of object oriented programming is assumed. Attendee needs basic coding experience with any high-level language like C, Java, Pascal etc
