Course Objectives
You will customize the GroupWise environment and share information and documents with other GroupWise and non-GroupWise users. You will also access GroupWise email and documents using WebAccess, and create rules to manage your Mailbox and resource reservations.
Prerequisites
To ensure students' success with this course, we recommend that they take the following course: Novell GroupWise® 8.0: Level 1, or have equivalent knowledge.
Target Student:
Anyone who needs to learn how to use Novell GroupWise 8.0 for accessing email, sharing documents, performing tasks, scheduling appointments, and working with WebAccess.
Course Objectives
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- log on to the Notes client environment and access the Notes database application.
- create database documents.
- modify database documents.
- enhance database documents by inserting files and creating tables, hotspots, and sections.
- create folders and arrange database documents in them.
- search database documents.
- secure the Notes database.
- create and edit a blog.
Hardware Requirements
The following requirements are for the server:
- Server class Intel® Pentium® III; Intel® Pentium® IV recommended
- 10 GB Hard Disk
- Valid TCP/IP networking IP addresses
- 256 MB of RAM minimum; 512 MB of RAM recommended
- PS/2 or serial mouse
- CD-ROM drive
The following requirements are for the client workstations:
- Intel® Pentium® IV or faster processor
- 20 GB Hard Disk
- 256 MB of RAM or more RAM or more
Software Requirements
Each computer requires the following software:
- Microsoft® Windows® XP
- Microsoft® Windows® 2003 Server (Standard or Enterprise)
- IBM® Lotus® Domino® server
- IBM® Lotus® Domino® administrator
