Overview

In this course, participants will learn the key concepts and expertise necessary to manage and maintain robust data processing applications using Apache Hadoop.

Learning Objectives

After the completion of this course, you should be able to:
  • Understand the Fundamentals of MapReduce and Hadoop 1x Architecture.
  • Have solid awareness of HDFS Internals
  • Be familiar with the Architecture of Hadoop 2x (YARN).
  • Understand the components of the Hadoop Ecosystem.
  • Be ready to work with Hadoop in practice
  • Perform basic Troubleshooting of Hadoop
  • Understand different Hadoop flavors and implementations

  • This course is best suited to engineers and administrators who have awareness of distributed systems.
  • Developers, Administrators and Project Managers responsible for Hadoop implementation.
Pre-requisites
  • Knowledge of Java concepts from an administration perspective is strongly recommended and is required to complete many hands-on exercises.
  • However, people with non-java background will be provided adequate assistance / guidance / instructions as well.
  • Prior knowledge of Apache Hadoop is not required.
  • Basic UNIX or Linux command-line navigation and administration skills
  • Fundamental data related concepts
  • Awareness of the need for BigData solutions
