Cloud Computing Training Overview
This course is designed to help individuals design and build secure, reliable and scalable AWS-based applications. In this course, we cover fundamental concepts and baseline programming for developing applications on AWS. We also show you how to work with AWS code libraries, SDKs, and IDE toolkits so that you can effectively develop and deploy code on the AWS platform.

- Configuring Eclipse to work with AWS (prior Java coding experience required).
- Review of different components of a web-application.
- Hands-on: Writing a web application and deploying on EC2.

- Service object models and Baseline concepts
- Amazon EC2
- Amazon Simple Storage Service (S3)
- Working with Amazon DynamoDB
Day 3: Working with AWS Services
- Service object models and baseline concepts
- Amazon Simple Queue Service (SQS)
- Amazon Simple Notification Service (SNS)
- Applying AWS security features
- Identity and Access Management (IAM)
- Hands-on: Adding IAM based authorization.
Day 4: Application Development and Deployment Best Practices
- Application deployment using AWS Elastic Beanstalk
- Best practices for working with AWS services
Day 5: Advanced Features
- Managing application environments
- Customizing and configuring platform stacks
- Provisioning application resources with CloudFormation
- Leveraging the Virtual Private Cloud (VPC)
- Launching Ec2 instances in private subnets for extra security
- Bridging Ec2 instances to your internal network with a VPN
- Organizing Ec2 instances in separate subnets with a VPC
