ACT! 2007: Level 2
Overview

In the first course in this series, ACT! 2007 Level 1, you gained the basic skills required to organize contact information in a database. In addition to organizing and working with data, you might also want to search and retrieve specific information about your contacts, send email to them, and also maintain information without any data loss. In this course, you will query and exchange data, customize the ACT! 2007 environment to work with templates, administer ACT!, and use its Internet features.

To ensure your success, it is required that you have basic PC skills and an understanding of Windows

Target Student:

This course is intended for corporate users, small business owners, government, medical, education, and non-profit entities.

Performance-Based Objectives

Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

  • work offline and remotely.
Platform Requirements

  • Microsoft Windows XP (Service Pack 2), XP Professional (Service Pack 2), 2000, or 2000 Professional (Service Pack 4).
Hardware Requirements

  • Minimum 600 MHz Pentium III (or equivalent) processor.
  • Minimum 512 MB RAM.
  • Minimum 1000 MB of available hard disk space.
  • A CD-ROM drive.
  • SVGA (800x600) or higher resolution monitor.
  • A working Internet connection.
Pocket PC Requirements (for an optional activity)
  • Pocket PC 2000/2002/Phone Edition (Windows CE 3.0).
  • Minimum 133 MHz or higher processor.
  • Minimum 16 MB or higher memory.
  • Minimum 500K free memory plus 1K for each contact.
Software Requirements

  • ACT! 2007.
  • Adobe® Reader® 5.0 or later version.
  • Microsoft Outlook Express 5.5/6.0.
  • Microsoft Outlook® 2000/2002/2003.
  • Lotus Notes® 6.5 or a later version.
  • Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.5 or later version.
  • Microsoft ActiveSync® versions 3.5 – 4.2 (for an optional activity).
