Overview

This course introduces a wide range of topics that are fundamental to telecommunications. The course will review the historical background, organizations and institutions that regulate the standards of the industry. The course will discuss telecommunications both from the perspectives of voice and data communications. The course follows a flow of services, networks, and applications. With this flow, you will study in detail the fundamental concepts of basic telephony, data transmission, and data connectivity. A variety of areas will be involved because of the encompassing nature of the industry. Bear in mind, all other related areas are discussed as how they relate to telecommunications.

Prerequisites

If you have had no previous telecommunications experience, Introduction to Telecommunications is designed for you. There are no prerequisites for this course. Hardware/Software Requirements
