This course is designed specifically for project team members or anyone that is interested in obtaining an overview of the demand planning processes in SCM including the interactive planning table, the setup and use of forecasting techniques, master data used in the planning process, and the release and transfer of planned data from demand planning..

SAP Training Objectives

Upon completion of this course, the participant will be able to:

  • Describe Supply Chain Planning in SAP SCM (APO), the integration with demand planning (DP) and production planning (PP/DS)
  • Define the exchange of master and transaction data with SAP ERP
  • Define master data used for supply network planning
  • Explain the configuration of Supply Network Planning using planning books and macros
  • Describe collaborative Supply Planning - the exchange of data between suppliers and manufacturers via the internet
  • Explain integrated exception management in the alert monitor
  • Define cross-plant safety stock planning
  • Explain the management of stock transport requisitions into manageable stock transport orders
