Overview
Quattro Pro 11® is a hands-on instruction book that will introduce you to the basics of the Quattro Pro 11 electronic spreadsheet program.
Prerequisites
Quattro Pro 11 is designed for the student who has no previous spreadsheet experience. Students who aren't familiar with the Windows environment will probably want to first take the following course:
Performance-Based Objectives
- Understand the limitations of paper spreadsheets, explore the Quattro
Pro environment, and share files between Excel and Quattro Pro.
- Understand the basics of the Quattro Pro environment; create
a basic spreadsheet, modify a spreadsheet by using functions, copy and move
spreadsheet data, and format a spreadsheet.
- Correct a spreadsheet by using absolute addresses, correcting
circular references, and using the Spell Checker.
- Prepare a spreadsheet for printing by previewing it and specifying
page settings.
- Use notebooks to create three-dimensional formatting and formulas.
- Use the QuickChart button to display data graphically.
- Use the Chart Expert, Chart Gallery, and Chart Advisor to create
a chart and change its overall appearance.
- Enhance a chart's display by changing chart object properties,
adding data details, and drawing objects on the chart.
- Sort data and extract records in a notebook.
- Use database functions to perform calculations and summarize
data by creating a Cross Tabs report.

Hardware/Software Requirements
You will need:
- A personal computer with a Pentium 166 MHz processor or equivalent.
- 64 MB of RAM (128 MB recommended).
- A minimum of 330 MB of free hard-disk space.
- Either a local CD-ROM drive or access to a networked CD-ROM
drive.
- A two-button mouse, an IntelliMouse, or compatible pointing
device.
- Super VGA, 16-bit color monitor supporting 800 x 600 or higher
resolution.
- An installed printer driver.
- 28.8 Kbps modem or faster.
- An Internet connection with access to the World Wide Web may
be necessary to complete some tasks in the book. (Note: Internet access may
require payment of a separate fee to a service provider; local charges may
also apply.)
- A Custom Setup of WordPerfect Office 11 Professional—see the
Class Requirements section for details.
- A Web browser, such as Microsoft Internet Explorer.
- Windows 2000 (SP3) or XP Professional (SP1) or Home. This course
was written using the Windows XP Professional operating system. Using this
course with other operating systems or configurations may affect how the activities
work. (Note: The manufacturer states that WordPerfect Office 11 will work
with Microsoft Windows 98 SE, Microsoft Windows ME, or Microsoft Windows NT
4.0 (SP6a). For best results on Windows XP, you should download and install
the latest Service Packs from the Corel Web site.)
