Overview

You're a person who has information that you need to gather and share. Microsoft Office InfoPath 2003 is a product that gathers and shares information. This course will train you to use InfoPath.

Course Objectives

You will learn how to use InfoPath to gather and share information by creating and implementing XML-based forms.

Prerequisites

Students enrolling in this class should have advanced Microsoft Office experience, concentrating in forms development, and experience working in a tagged environment (such as HTML or FrameMaker with SGML).

Target Student

Persons with Web design experience, forms administrators, information coordinators, Microsoft Office System power users, or Lotus Notes developers who need to gather and share information by using XML-based forms.

Hardware Requirements

You will need one computer for the classroom to run Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Standard Edition and Microsoft SharePoint Portal Server 2003 that meets the following system requirements:

  • Pentium III 133 MHz (550 MHz recommended)
  • 512 MB of RAM
  • 10 GB hard disk space for Windows Server 2003 Standard Edition plus 550 MB hard disk space for SharePoint Portal Server
  • CD-ROM or DVD drive
  • VGA or higher video adapter and monitor
  • Keyboard and mouse or other input device In this course, you will need one computer for the classroom to run Windows Server 2003 Standard Edition and Exchange Server 2003 that meets the following system requirements:
  • Pentium III 133 MHz (550 MHz recommended)
  • 256 MB RAM (512 MB recommended)
  • 10 GB hard disk space plus 700 MB for Microsoft Exchange Server 2003
  • CD-ROM or DVD drive
  • VGA or higher video adapter and monitor
  • Keyboard and mouse or other input device
  • Pentium 233 MHz (300 MHz recommended)
  • 128 MB RAM
  • 6 GB hard disk
  • CD-ROM or DVD drive
  • Super VGA or higher resolution video adapter and monitor with 256 colors
  • Keyboard and mouse or other input device
