Overview
Students will learn the skills and concepts necessary to work with advanced features of Excel 97. Students should have a basic knowledge of the concepts involved in using Excel 97. For example, they should be familiar with data types (text and values), copying data, basic formulas and functions, and opening and saving files.
Prerequisites
To ensure students’ success with this course, we recommend that they first take the following Content courses or have equivalent knowledge:

Hardware/Software Requirements
You will need:
- a minimum of 8 megabytes (MB) of Random Access Memory (RAM);
- a minimum of 41 MB of hard-disk space available for Excel, after Windows 95
is installed;
- a 386DX or higher processor (486 recommended);
- a mouse or compatible pointing device;
- a typical installation of Windows 95; and
- a custom installation of Excel 97 from Microsoft Office 97, including the
Solver Add-In.
