Students will learn the basic skills necessary to use Word Pro Millennium Edition 9.5 for the Windows 98 operating system

Prerequisites

Windows 95 or Windows 98: Introduction, Windows 95 or Windows 98: Transition, or equivalent knowledge.

* Check documents for spelling and grammar by using proofing tools, and control page appearance by setting margins, tabs, and page breaks, and by creating headers and footers.

* Create a document by using an existing SmartMaster and by creating a new SmartMaster.

* Share the editing of documents with co-workers by using team computing features.

* Create an Internet home page by using Word Pro SmartMasters.

Hardware Requirements/software required to run this course

In order to run Word Pro Millennium Edition, you will need 8 megabytes (MB) of random access memory (RAM) (16 MB for Windows NT), 30 MB of free disk space to install the minimum features (additional space required for optional features), a 486 or higher IBM, or compatible PC, with Windows 95, Windows 98, or Windows NT 4.0, a two-button mouse (recommended) and a default installation of an Internet browser. Also, a default printer should be installed if you want to print the documents created in class. See your reference manual for hardware considerations that apply to your specific hardware setup
