Prerequisites
We designed WordPerfect 11: Level 3 for the student who is familiar with the WordPerfect 11 environment. To ensure your success, we recommend you first take the following Content course or have equivalent knowledge:
- Windows XP: Introduction
- WordPerfect 11: Level 1
- WordPerfect 11: Level 2
Performance-Based Objectives
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Apply WordPerfect settings, create and edit toolbars, and change the environment to simulate Microsoft Word.
- Create, modify, and use the Outlook Contacts folder.
- Password protect a document, create and work with SpeedLinks and comments, and compare documents.
- Work with TextArt, watermarks, layered drawings, and organization charts.
- Work with a master document and create cross-references, a table of contents, an index, variables, and footnotes and endnotes.
- Work with WordPerfect legal tools, including pleading documents, Table of Authorities, and publishing documents to EDGAR.
- Share files by performing round-trip editing of a Microsoft Word document, create a Web document, and publish a PDF file.

Hardware/Software Requirements
You will need
- Personal computer with Pentium 166 MHz processor or equivalent.
- Minimum of 64 MB of RAM (128MB recommended).
- 330 MB of free hard-disk space.
- Either a local CD-ROM drive or access to a networked CD-ROM drive.
- A two-button mouse, an IntelliMouse, or compatible pointing device.
- Super VGA, 16-bit color monitor supporting 800x600 or higher
resolution.
- An installed printer driver. (Printers are not required; however,
each PC must have an installed printer driver to use Print Preview.)
- 28.8 Kbps modem or faster.
- An Internet connection with access to the World Wide Web may
be necessary to complete some tasks in the book. (Note: Internet access may
require payment of a separate fee to a service provider; local charges may
also apply.)
- Windows XP Professional. This course was written using the Windows
XP Professional operating system with SP1 installed. WordPerfect 11 will run
on Windows 2000 with SP3, Windows NT 4 with SP6a, Windows 98 SE, or Windows
ME. However, using this course with other operating systems or configurations
may affect how the activities work.
- A Custom Setup of WordPerfect Office 11, including Adobe® Acrobat®
Reader™ 5.0.5. See the Class Requirements section for details.
- A Custom installation of Microsoft Outlook 2002. See the Class
Requirements section for details.
- A Web browser, such as Microsoft Internet Explorer.
