Corel DESIGNER 9: Level 2
Corel Training Description

Corel® DESIGNER™ 9 Level 2 is a hands-on instruction book that will introduces you to some of the more advanced features of Corel DESIGNER. In this course you will expand on the knowledge you gained in the Corel DESIGNER 9 Level 1 course. You will import files, efficiently organize and manipulate complex drawings, use advanced techniques for drawing complicated illustrations, and create Flash animations and slide shows.

Corel Training Prerequisites

To ensure your success, we recommend you first take the following course or have equivalent knowledge:

  • Corel® DESIGNER™ 9: Level 1
Delivery Method

Instructor-led, group-paced, classroom-delivery learning model with structured, hands-on activities.

Hardware /Software Requirements

You will need:

  • Windows 98, Windows NT 4.0 with SP3 or higher, Windows 2000, Windows Me, or Windows XP.
  • An IBM-compatible PC with Pentium processor.
  • At least 64 MB RAM.
  • At least 200 MB available hard disk space for software installation, and an additional 10 MB for course data.
  • A CD-ROM drive.
  • A 16-bit (800 x 600) color display.
  • A mouse or tablet.
  • Corel® DESIGNER™ 9 software.
Performance-Based Objectives
  • Import and manipulate graphic and text files.
  • Edit images in Picture Publisher within the Corel DESIGNER interface.
  • Create and manipulate OLE objects.
  • Use the Object Explorer to keep track of objects in a drawing.
  • Add repetitive objects using the master page.
  • Organize a complex drawing using layers.
  • Efficiently draw and manipulate complex objects.
  • Convert bitmap images to vector using the Auto Trace feature.
  • Create interesting graphic and text effects.
  • Use object properties to keep track of specific information about objects.
  • Create interactive objects.
  • Export a drawing as Flash animation.
  • Use a drawing as a slide show.
