Corel Training Description
Corel DESIGNER 9 Level 1 is a hands-on instruction book that will introduce you to the basics of the Corel® DESIGNER™ 9 application package. Corel DESIGNER is a sophisticated graphics program capable of creating complex technical illustrations and annotated illustrations. In this course, you will learn many of the basic skills that will allow you to take advantage of Corel DESIGNER's powerful tools.
Corel Training Prerequisites
To ensure your success, you must have a basic understanding of your computer's operating system. For example, you should know how to launch an application, create and save files, and copy files from CDs and other media.

Hardware /Software Requirements
You will need:
- An Intel Pentium II, III, or 4 processor.
- Microsoft Windows 98, Windows 98 Special Edition, Windows Millennium Edition, Windows 2000 with Service Pack 2, or Windows XP.
- At least 64 MB of RAM.
- At least 200 MB of available hard-disk space.
- A CD-ROM drive.
- A color monitor with at least 800 x 600 monitor resolution.
- Corel DESIGNER 9.
Performance-Based Objectives
- Navigate in the Corel DESIGNER environment.
- Create and edit geometric objects.
- Create and edit lines, arcs, and freeform shapes.
- Apply fill and line attributes to objects.
- Define colors and gradients.
- Change the opacity of selected objects.
- Enter and format type in an illustration.
- Annotate illustrations using callouts, dimension lines, and sticky lines.
- Prepare Corel DESIGNER files for print and for use in other applications.
