AutoCAD Training Overview
Civil 3D 2009 Fundamentals is designed for Civil Engineers and Surveyors who are new to the Civil 3D® 2009 software environment.
Our training guide introduces the application and teaches users the tools to create standardized civil engineering, drafting, and GIS projects. The training enables students to complete transportation, site, sewer, storm drain, and subdivision projects quickly, while using the tools to dynamically link and generate automatic design updates, which reduce costly errors.
What's new in 2009?
A new optional training module has been added, which teaches users how to share data between team members using data shortcuts or Vault.
AutoCAD Training Topics
Upon completion of the course, students will be able to:
- Import data through AutoCAD LandXML and from an Autodesk Land Desktop Project
- Create and manage Points and Point Groups
- Create, edit, view, and analyze surfaces
- Create parcels and parcel tables
- Create sites, create and edit alignments, and create profiles and
cross-sections
- Create assemblies, corridors, and cross-sections, and calculate corridor volumes
- Create complex grading solutions
- Create pipe networks
Prerequisites:
Prior experience using AutoCAD or AutoCAD-based products such as Autodesk Land Desktop, is recommended.
