Adobe Training Description

You have created projects using Adobe's suite of creative applications, and have probably developed projects in collaboration with others. In this course, you'll use Adobe Version Cue to manage the multiple versions of project files you and your colleagues create using Adobe Creative Suite applications.

Adobe Training Objective

You will use Adobe Version Cue to manage the multiple versions of project files you and your colleagues create using Adobe Creative Suite applications.

Adobe Training Prerequisites

Before taking this course, students should be familiar with techniques for creating basic documents using the Adobe suite of creative applications, including Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, GoLive, and InDesign.

Delivery Method

Instructor led, group-paced, classroom-delivery learning model with structured hands-on activities.

Target Student

Creative professionals who create projects using Adobe Creative Suite applications for print or Web use. They may work on projects alone, but more typically develop projects as part of a group.

Hardware Requirements

  • Microsoft Windows 2000 with Service Pack 3 or Windows XP.
  • Intel Pentium III or 4 processor.
  • At least 512 MB RAM is required to run this course. (At least 192 MB of RAM is required to run any one CS application, and an additional 128 MB of RAM required to run the Version Cue workspace. Additional RAM required to run multiple applications simultaneously).
  • At least a 5 GB hard disk is required for this course. The computer must have at least 1.55 GB of hard disk space available to install all the Adobe CS applications.
  • A color monitor with 1024 x 768 resolution with 16–bit or greater video card (24–bit screen display recommended).
  • A CD-ROM drive.
  • Internet connection.
Performance-Based Objectives

Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
  • Enable the Version Cue workspace and the Version Cue preference in Adobe Creative Suite applications so that you can create a new Version Cue project
  • Create and access files managed as part of a Version Cue project
  • Specify settings to control how workgroup members access and work with Version Cue project files

  • Windows 2000 SR2 or Windows XP.
Software Requirements

  • Adobe Creative Suite, including Adobe Version Cue, and Photoshop CS, Illustrator CS, InDesign CS, and GoLive CS.
  • A Web browser, such as Internet Explorer 6.0, Netscape Navigator 4.x, 6.1, 6.2 or 7.0, or AOL 6.0 or 7.0.
