Adobe Training Description

You have familiarized yourself with the basic image editing tools of Adobe® Photoshop® CS3. Now, you may want to enhance the images and work with videos. In this course, you'll work with the advanced tools and features available in Photoshop CS3.

Adobe Training Objective

You will enhance your ability to create accurate masks and image effects, to retouch images, to work with video files, and to automate repetitive tasks.

Target Student

This course is intended for the intermediate and advanced users of Photoshop.

Adobe Training Prerequisites

Before taking this course, students should have taken the Adobe® Photoshop® CS3: Level 1 (Macintosh) course or have equivalent knowledge.

Delivery Method

Instructor led, group-paced, classroom-delivery learning model with structured hands-on activities.

Hardware Requirements

  • PowerPC® G4 or G5 or multicore Intel processor.
  • 512 MB RAM; 1 GB recommended.
  • 2 GB hard-disk space to install software, and an additional 500 MB to run the course.
  • 64 MB of video RAM.
  • Color monitor with 16-bit or greater video card; 24-bit color recommended.
  • Mouse or any other compatible tracking device.
  • 1024 x 768 or higher monitor resolution.
  • DVD-ROM drive.
  • Display system to project the instructor's computer screen.
Platform Requirements

  • Macintosh OS® X, Macintosh Leapord® 10.5.2.
Software Requirements

  • Adobe® Photoshop® CS3
  • QuickTime® Player
  • Adobe® Acrobat Reader® 7.0 or above
Performance-Based Objectives

Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
  • use the various tools to mask and clip layers to edit an image.
  • create and edit vector paths and use them to create masks.
  • use the tools available in Adobe® Photoshop® to enhance an image.
  • create special effects.
  • use the video tools available in Adobe® Photoshop® to edit video files.
  • automate tasks in Adobe® Photoshop®.
