To ensure students' success with this course, we recommend that they are familiar with Adobe® Photoshop® CS2: Level 1 for Macintosh (Second Edition).

Target Student
This course is intended for new users of Adobe® Photoshop® CS2.
Hardware Requirements
- PowerPC® G3, G4, or G5 processor.
- At least 512 MB of RAM.
- At least 1GB of free hard-disk space to install software, and an additional 500 MB to run the course.
- A color monitor with 16-bit or greater video card.
- A mouse or compatible tracking device.
- 1024 x 768 or greater monitor resolution.
- A CD-ROM drive.
- A display system to project the instructor's computer screen.
Performance-Based Objectives
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- work with advanced tools and techniques to create accurate masks, and for better image editing flexibility.
- create, edit, and save vector paths; and also convert a path to a clipping path to prevent pixels outside it from being printed.
- create and save swatches, gradients, and patterns to fill image areas.
- use Photoshop's wide range of tools and techniques to create special effects in images.
- use the Actions palette to combine a series of commands into a single command and to create keyboard shortcuts for frequently used commands.

- Adobe® Photoshop® CS2.
