Adobe Training Description

Your work requires high quality sound tracks in the projects you create. You may have worked with audio applications or with audio editing within other applications such as video editors, but have probably outgrown their capabilities. In this course, you'll use Adobe Audition 1.5 to record and edit audio files, mix multiple tracks, and output consistent, professional sound

Adobe Training Objective

You will create professional audio files from both mixes of pre-recorded audio clips and audio you've recorded and edited yourself.

Adobe Training Prerequisites

Before taking this course, students should be familiar with the basic functions of their computer's operating system such as creating folders, opening programs, and working with windows. Students should also have basic Windows application skills, such as copying and pasting objects, formatting text, saving files, etc. .

Delivery Method

Instructor led, group-paced, classroom-delivery learning model with structured hands-on activities.

Target Student

A person who works with video or presentations who needs to create professional audio mixed from multiple tracks for those purposes. Their needs go beyond the capabilities of the video or presentations applications they use, including the ability to add effects, precisely edit audio clips, and build music from stock audio clips. This person is not likely to be a musician using Audition as a recording studio, but they may record occasional tracks themselves of either vocal tracks or music.

Hardware Requirements

  • 400MHz processor (2GHz or faster recommended)
  • 64MB of RAM (512MB or more recommended)
  • 500MB of available hard-disk space
  • 800x600 color display (1,024x768 display recommended)
  • Stereo sound card (multitrack sound card recommended)
  • Optical drive capable of reading and writing audio CDs
  • One blank writable CD (CD/R or CD/RW)
  • Speakers (headphones recommended)
  • Microphone
Performance-Based Objectives

Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
  • create a session from multiple audio clips.
  • edit individual waveforms.
  • output multitrack sessions so their volumes are approximately equal to one another.
